Just a reminder that our clinic is STILL open for emergency/urgent patients. If you believe you fit the criteria for a face to face consult, please email us directly at info@caseycentralosteo.com.au and a team member will be in contact with you.

We would also like to remind everyone of our clinic policy on face masks. Unfortunately for the time being we have to learn to live with COVID, so for the safety of our team and our patients, unless you have a medical exemption we will still require you to wear a mask when attending an appointment.

When attending an appointment please remember to submit your COVID health screen prior to attending and use our QR code to check in. A link will be sent to you via SMS along with your appointment reminder the day before. You may also bring your own towel if you wish.

Thank you kindly

It sure hasn’t been easy being a Melbournian the last eight weeks, but we got through stage 4 restrictions thanks to the effort of all Victorians. Now ahead of schedule with a 14-day case averaging out to 22.1 we’re getting much closer to a COVID normal lifestyle. With Metropolitan Melbourne moving to the second step towards the road map of reopening, Team CCO are pleased to announce that we are officially back in business this week.

These positive changes in Melbourne means that the strategy is working, however it is important to remember that we are still in a pandemic and it is far from over. So as usual our clinic will be keeping up with COVID safety measures. With one of them being temperature checks as you arrive, so please remember to remain in your vehicle and your Practitioner will come out once ready.

Bookings will be available Tuesday to Saturday throughout the week with our Osteopaths; Dr Toni Tran and Dr Jack McElligott. The 5km radius will not apply for those patients with an appointment on the day, and we strongly advise that you keep your SMS text reminder handy as proof of an appointment.

Stay safe and take care #beatthevirus

Farewell and all the best to our Osteopath Dr Tatum Barton. Tatum first joined our team back in 2018 with reception duties, she then followed on to treating patients in 2019 after graduating with her Masters in Clinical Sciences, Osteopathy. Sadly, we must announce that Tatum has unfortunately finished up working at Casey Central Osteopathy. She has been a great asset to our team over the last 2 years and it has been a pleasure for both Toni and Jack to have worked along side her. We are certain this is much the same for all the patients who have met and been treated by her.

It’s all been such a whirlwind for team CCO the last few months and with the unfortunate timing of COVID-19 around the globe. However the upside to this is that she has found a new full time journey elsewhere and we wish her all the best with her new endeavors.

She did leave a farewell message for everybody upon her departure…

“It’s goodbye for now. As some of you may know, I have recently left my position at Casey Central Osteopathy. While I am excited for the new opportunity ahead of me, there is also a big part of that is sad to say goodbye to everyone I have meet during my time working here. I hope everybody is staying safe during these incredibly trying times, and I wish you all the best for the future”

Team CCO have unfortunately made the sad decision to close our doors for the next 6 weeks, effective immediately. With recent clarification from the State Government and Department of Health and Human services, Allied Health clinics can ONLY remain open if the treatment provided to you prevents a significant change/deterioration in your functional independence necessitating escalation of care (e.g. avoiding a hospital admission or emergency department presentation). Team CCO have had thorough discussions based on this, and mutually agree that a majority of our patients unfortunately do not fit this criteria.

A team member will be in contact with those patients who have an appointment booked up until Monday the 14th of September.

We sincerely apologise for this last minute announcement and will continue to update you if there are changes. We thank you for your understanding during these difficult times. #beatthevirus

Take care and stay safe.

The post 5km radius DOES NOT apply when attending an Osteopathic appointment first appeared on .]]>

Team CCO would like to notify all our patients that we are still open despite stage 4 restrictions being imposed within Metropolitan Melbourne.
The Victorian State Government and the Department of Health and Human services, has advised “that you CAN leave home to receive health care or attend medical appointments. If you need to see a doctor or health care professional, you should do so.”

So not to worry, the 5km radius does not apply to those patients who attend an appointment with us on the day. If you need to accompany someone for essential medical treatment, this is also allowed. Please understand in these circumstances will we require a name and contact number of this individual person for contact tracing purposes and that our COVID safety measures such as social distancing will still apply within the treatment room.

On a different note, we hope everyone can take this time to lift each other’s spirits and look after yourself. A simple call or video chat to family and friends can go along way. Again, if things change we will notify you as the situation evolves. In the meantime please take care and stay safe. #beatthevirus

Much love Team CCO ??‍⚕?‍⚕?‍⚕?

As announced by our Premier, Dan Andrews tonight, Metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire regions will reimpose stage 3 restrictions over the next 6 weeks, starting midnight Wednesday the 8th of July, 2020.
With the unfortunate number of infections rising each day, Mr Andrews said the new restrictions were the result of the “unacceptably” high number of new cases.

Team CCO proudly supports this decision. There are tough times ahead, but let’s face it, we knew this back in March already. This reimposed stage 3 restriction will be one of the many steps to come inorder to ending the pandemic.

Osteopathy is still recognised as an essential service at this point, and we are happy to say that our clinic remains open for your healthcare needs, if at any point in time this changes we will notify you. We will be staying up to date with the Australian government and will we continue to keep you all updated as the situation unfolds.

In the meantime, we kindly ask that you all respect the saftey of our team and one another. We request that you adhere to our COVID-19 saftey protocols when attending an appointment. It’s very important that you MUST stay in your vehicles upon arrival to undergo a temperature check and please remember to fill out our COVID-19 screening questionnaire prior.

Stay safe and together we can beat COVID-19.
Team CCO
Dr Toni Tran, Dr Jack McElligott and Dr Tatum Barton
